Pedraza Dedicates Game Balls to Family After Emotional Victory

The North Scranton Little League All Stars took the field Tuesday night against Central City for their first All Star game.  North Scranton would come away with a 7-2 victory, led in large part by Yensen Pedraza.  Yensen struck out 15 and allowed only one hit on the mound and sent a home run sailing over left field behind the plate.  A special night for any young little league player, but an extra special night for Yensen.  In case you’re not aware on Sunday, June 25th Yensen’s 8 year old cousin Andrea Nicole Morales was killed in an automobile accident on the Scranton Expressway, not very far from where North Scranton plays.  His aunt Linette Villa and 6 year old cousin Gilianys Morales remain in critical condition.

After the game Yensen dedicated his home run ball to his cousin Andrea and his game ball to his aunt Linette and cousin Gilianys.  He hopes that with this little moment on the baseball field that it may help his family as they grieve the passing of his cousin and pray for the healing of his aunt and cousin Gilianys.
