Latona Trucking Wins Back and Forth Affair Against Rinaldi & Poveromo

North Scranton LL Latona Trucking Farm and Rinaldi & Poveromo traded the lead back-and-forth on Friday, but eventually North Scranton LL Latona Trucking Farm prevailed 12-9. North Scranton LL Latona Trucking Farm took the lead for good in the fifth inning.  The game was tied at nine with North Scranton LL Latona Trucking Farm batting in the bottom of the fifth when Michael walked Canyah R to drive in a run.

Both offenses were strong at the plate as North Scranton LL Latona Trucking Farm collected 12 hits and Rinaldi & Poveromo seven

Rinaldi & Poveromo captured the lead in the first inning.  Rinaldi & Poveromo scored one run on a stolen base in the first inning.

After Rinaldi & Poveromo scored four runs in the top of the third, North Scranton LL Latona Trucking Farm answered with four of their own.  Rinaldi & Poveromo scored when Cooper doubled off of Cameron D, driving in one run and Harshal singled off of Reese Whitman, driving in one run.  North Scranton LL Latona Trucking Farm then answered when Cooper walked Thor Kelly to drive in a run and Reese doubled off of Cooper, driving in two runs.

Thor earned the win for North Scranton LL Latona Trucking Farm. He tossed  three innings, surrendering zero runs, two hits, striking out seven, and walking zero.

Logan Wahlers started the game for North Scranton LL Latona Trucking Farm. He went  two innings, surrendering two runs, three hits, striking out six, and walking one.

Ryan K, Reese, Logan, and Evan Juice each collected multiple hits for North Scranton LL Latona Trucking Farm.  Evan, Logan, Reese, and Ryan each collected two hits to lead North Scranton LL Latona Trucking Farm.

Harshal and Cooper each collected multiple hits for Rinaldi & Poveromo.  Cooper went 2-for-3 at the plate as he led the team with  three runs batted in.  Rinaldi & Poveromo was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Michael had the most chances in the field with one.  Harshal led Rinaldi & Poveromo with four stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with eight stolen bases.
